Ruddercraft replacement

Seeking advice o Ruddercraft replacement for my 71 cal 29 . Fiberglass or plastic? Ruddercraft of Boise Idaho recommended a plastic replacement with stainless steel shaft and reinforced with stainless metal fingers . Drain holes built in the bottom . Any thoughts on rudder would be greatly appreciated.
