Bottom paint time on my 71 cal 29

Can 1 gallon of Pettit HRT premium multi season anti-fouling paint cover my cal 29 with 2 coatings or is one enough . Freshwater river current ? Pettit claims I can paint over existing bottom paint .any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.
